The Polar s720i heart rate monitor has all of the same features as the Polar s520. What sets the s720i apart is the extra cycling functions, extensive monitor memory, powerful Polar Precision Performance software and a fast, infared computer data link.
You may rapidly upload or download information from your personal computer to the s720i. Storing exercise sessions on your PC allows for easy workout comparisions and greater fitness benefits.
When your workout is over and you want to see how you have performed, simply transfer all of that data -- cadence, speed, distance, altitude, temperature, heart rate, laps, splits, intervals -- from the s720i to your Polar Precision Performance software.
You can also create workouts with the Polar software and uplink them to your s720i monitor.

• The Polar s720i will allow you to measure and record real time, pedaling power output, via an optional Power Kit which is listed below.
• Polar Precision Performance software is included. It allows you to download all your data to your PC and displays it in easy to use calendar and graphing screens. View graphs of your cadence, speed, distance altitude, heart rate, time in zone, calories burned and much more.
• You will still need:
  a PC running Windows 98 or higher.
  An infrared input device.
  A Pentium or compatible processor and 10 Mega Bytes of space on your hard drive.
• Two wheel size settings are allowed with the s720i. Ideal for switching between different bicycles or for precise measurements with race and training wheels.
• All applicable functions can be displayed in US or Metric units.
• The Polar s720i allows you to set your own training parameters for five different workouts with the Exercise Set™ feature. One set can be for hill climbing, another for time trials, a third may contain interval sessions,etc. Pick the session you want and let the heart monitor guide you. The s720i will automatically record and playback detailed information so you can easily chart your progress.
• Extensive monitor memory allows you to store up to 16,000 pieces of heart/time exercise information before downloading it to your PC. If you choose to record heart and time information every 15 seconds the s720i memory bank will store 66 hours and 32 minute of data. If you choose 5 second recording intervals the memory will hold 22 hours and 10 minutes of data.
• A sophisticated and easy to use Vo2max, aerobic fitness test is included. The numerical results of this test Polar calls OwnIndexS™. You may use the numerical results to accurately chart and judge your fitness progress.
• Three heart rate target zones and timers are available with the s720i. Customize your heart rate zones to the type of workout you want. Use a low setting for easy days and a higher setting for rigorous training sessions. Detailed heart/time information from all three zones can be recorded.
• The Polar s720i allows you to view heart rate as a % of Max heart rate. The s720i also tracks and displays average and recovery heart rate. The s720i allows you to pause a workout for 30 minutes and then restart the same workout without have to reset the stopwatch.
• The s720i will automatically calculate how many calories are burned from fat and how many are burned from carbohydrates. It is an ideal heart rate monitor for any weight loss program.
• This fine monitor will keep track of your cumulative exercise time and the total amount of calories you burned for your current and previous workouts.
• The slim, LCD screen display depicts current heart rate in .25 inch (.6 cm) tall, bold numbers.
• An audible alarm can be activated that will tell you when you go below or above your heart zone settings.
• The s720i has an easy to use Interval Trainer™ feauture that allows you to set parameters for intervals by heart rate, time or manually. Up to 30 intervals may be set.
