| My home and business, Branford Bike, and the Big Creek forest fire. |

Author's Note: Shortly after I moved to Montana in July of 2005 I started a new section in the Branford Bike online catalog. Originally intended to introduce people to the new retail store, it grew to include the natural beauty that surrounded me in Montana. After I fled from the flames that consumed Branford Bike in July 2006, I used the new section to tell my customers about the disaster. Through my words and photos, I tried to convey an accurate picture of the inferno and its aftermath, while coming to terms with the disaster myself. As time slowly passed, the story changed from disaster to hope, and rebuilding. In December of 2006 I sold Branford Bike to Rodd Wagner in Seattle, Washington. He graciously allowed me to continue posting pages on the BranfordBike.Com web site until January 2008. Then I moved the original pages here, to my personal web site TimsLife.Com, and continued the story. Tim Brockett, January 27th, 2008 |
